Who & How is a mom profile. We ask the same questions and get mighty different answers. This is where we get inspired, encouraged and impressed. Tell us how the heck you pull it off.

Kids (ages): 30, 27

What do you do? Homemaker, volunteer, seamstress

What does a typical day look like for you? Each day is different as I deal with my physical handicap. I talk to my daughters everyday to just keep in touch and I help out my husband when ever I can. I try to keep busy and engaged with
others.

Biggest misconception about motherhood? The biggest misconception , I believe is that your job as a mother ends as your kids grow older. When really mothering is a life time job that must adjust and grow with your children so they become responsible adults and you become someone they want to have a relationship with as they live their lives.

Ignite Missoula 2.0

Pyron Technologies is excited to be presenting Ignite Missoula v.2 on Thursday, March 4th at The Elks Lodge, 112 N. Pattee – 6:15pm-9pm.

The format of these events is fun and fast. If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds?

Mamalode’s publisher Elke Govertsen will be speaking about:

They say it takes a village so what does it mean to be the village?
Missoula is a wiz-bang, great place to raise a family. But what do we need to do to make it even better? Elke Govertsen, publisher of Mamalode, has a few suggestions for neighbors, employers and those in charge (no, NOT the kids, although sometimes it does seem that they are in charge…)

The presentations from the first Ignite Missoula v.1 can be watched at www.ignitemissoula.com — check them out!

Ignite Missoula v.2 will be a Global Ignite event as part of Global Ignite Week, encompassing six continents, 60+ Cities, 600 Talks, 10,000+ Igniters.

Reserve your FREE tickets here.

What do you do? Co-Owner of Lifestyle Kids Club and Lifestyle Fitness

Tell us a bit about Lifestyle Kids Club and Lifestyle Center and how it got it’s start: My husband and I have been through a few babysitters over the past seven years. Trying to work around their schedules as well as five different schedules in my family was a job in itself. Often times we wanted to go out to dinner and see a movie, or simply go grab some lunch together to talk, but the babysitter was unavailable.

Being a mom, I never had a positive image of the drop off world. In all honestly I had never been to one until a year ago, when my husband talked me into visiting Just Kiddin Around, ran by Denise Sullivan. He kept telling me “this place is different, just come and see for yourself.” I was absolutely amazed from the moment I walked in, all those negative images were immediately replaced by new fresh positive images. The only element we felt it was missing was fitness, an acti ve play center for kids. This is where the conception of the Lifestyle Kids Club was born.

Dallas, Denise, and I collaborated for a year until we felt we finally had the concept completed. We felt this was going to be a perfect fit as we already owned Lifestyle Fitness (formerly Gym II). Lifestyle Fitness added 3000 sq feet to create Lifestyle Kids Club.

DeAnna Moore Mommy Shoppee Missoula

What does a typical day look like for you? I get up with my Hubby and we are out of the house by 5:45 am.  On the drive to town, we catch up on yesterday. Hubby drops me off at TMS (The Mommy Shop), and heads to work himself.  My day is always totally awesome; I get to play with Jason and talk to pregnant women and new Moms all day!  We share stories about our Kiddos, talk about pregnancy/breastfeeding/birthing/parenting, and everything else that has to do with being a Mom.  Between Customers I get to the nuts and bolts of being a business owner.  Then it’s rush home to make dinner, play/bath/books with Jason, and everyone’s off to bed.  Somewhere in there we play with the D-O-G, and maybe catch a show on TV.
