Man-o-Pete is there a lot going on at Mamalode these days.
We are gearing up for the 6th Annual Mother’s Day Eve Bash on May 8. I can hardly believe this is going to be year six. Does Mom-time feel like warp speed to anyone else? Right now we are looking for sponsors. Right now you should be looking for sitters or writing in permanent marker, really big on your family calendar “May 8—Mom Party.” For those of you who have never been, this is a party for moms, by moms on the night before Mother’s Day. You and your mama pals get a night out filled with yoga, massage, physical therapy, snacks, wine, pampering and above all a room filled with hundreds of other mothers celebrating each other.
Ideally you also get to sleep in the next day, but that is up to you to arrange. We just plan the party.
Big thanks to Peak Health and Wellness for letting us take over their facility for this event again, and to Alpine Physical Therapy who pays their whole staff to be on hand to give you some love and good health. We will have a whole article about this event next week.
We are also rolling along on our summer issue (out before school lets out) and the content is all in (except for the short essays, the “Because I Said So’s” so feel free to submit those 150 words or less.) The theme is “Adventure” and the stories are really amazing.
We have a new sales person– in fact Carolyn is the first person who will be dedicated completely to the sales side of Mamalode and we are thrilled to welcome her to Missoula and to Team Mamalode. Look for more ads to come in the magazine and on the website—yippee to keeping Mamalode free for you, Dear Readers!
We have had many requests for more “Behind the Scenes at Mamalode” so look for us every week (probably on Fridays) and we will fill you in on what we do all day to keep this boat a-rocking. (Hint: it involves lots of late nights, emails, networking events, and our weekly yoga class right before the staff meeting.)
Thanks for all you do, that makes us do all we do, so that we are all doing something amazing together. Keep up the good work, gang.

Elke Govertsen thinks her boys are spectacular people. She likes to read, collect obscure Norwegian enamelware and after much flirtation, is finally falling in love with yoga. She is married to a big old hunk of sweetness named Pauly who has messy hair and always gets up with the kids at night. She is also the publisher of Mamalode.
Don’t forget: Our calendar is chock full of fun events around town. Check it out here.
